Paperbag Scrapbook

I made my first paperbag scrapbook. Please excuse the numerous posts for this and the crude attempts at photography (I needed at least one more hand). The scrapbook is of a trip my girlfriends and I took to Chicago last fall to see the play Dirty Dancing. We had a wonderful time and the play was terrific. TFL.

Weeky Challenge

As many of you know, the PCMB site I'm at alot does a weekly challenge. Well I am hosting on Sunday. Here is my challenge: make a thank you card using orange and gray cardstock. White is ok too if you stamp on it. Embellies are up to you, but try to keep to the orange and gray theme. Here is my card.

Gift Card Holder

I made this gift card holder for a Birthday Gift. I found the instructions on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ku86abwlX9c&feature=PlayList&p=F336C498151D6D68&index=9. This gal Dawn has a ton of great ideas. I used an invitation sized envie from Walmart. The company recently changed the size to accomodate photos...........I don't care for the new size, but surprise....surprise they didn't ask me. They are now 4 3/4 x 6 1/2. I used a teensie bit of adhesive on the back of the gift card to keep it in place. TFL!!!

Weekly Challenge

This is my card for the weekly challenge issued by antme over at PCMB at Creating Keepsakes. Materials: PP unknown, image: HM Lip Smackin' Relaxin'; SU markers, buttons, ribbon. I attempted the spotlight technique........I'm not really sure how I feel about the result.

Plastic in my CuttleBug

I thought I'd give this technique a whirl. I put that plastic that stuff like embossing folders, die cuts, etc. come in thru my CB. One of the ladies at CK mentioned it. I think it turned out great. I got the stamp as a prize over at the papercrafts message board at CK and just had to use it. TFL!!

A2 Card Box

I made this box for my SIL. I have made her 12 Thank You cards to send for baby gifts, and decided to make her a box for them as well. The full dozen will fit in here. TFL.

Baby Card for SIL

I had to think on this one awhile, but finally decided. This is the card that will go in with the gift for SIL's baby shower gift. I am thrilled with the result!!! Materials: Pattern: PaperCrafts Magazine March/April 2009 issue; PP: HOTP Soft Tints Pink Gingham; Tag Die Cut: ProvoCraft 2x2 Charms; Bottom of Pink Dress: Friskars Scalloped Border Punch; Bottom of PP Apron: Martha Stewart Doily Lace Edge Punch; Embossing Folder: CuttleBug Swiss Dots; Bling; Flower: Unknown; Ribbon; Collar: Nesties Petite Scalloped Circles; I distressed the edges to give a softer feel with the SU edge distressing tool (love this tool). Shower Invites

I am making the invites for my sister in law's baby shower. They are a postcard style and measure the traditional A2 size. I used various baby pp. The invite stamp is from Stampin' Up "Please Come" set. I am very happy with the result. Let me know if you have any questions. TFL!!

Valentine's Box

I made this box for my dear husband for Valentine's Day and filled it with candy. I received the Stampin' Up stamps from my friend Lisa.......I won her blog candy!!!! Anyway, I just wanted to share.......better late than never right?!?!?

Weedsgalore Challenge

Every week we have a challenge on our MB at PCMB and here is mine for this week. We had to create a card for a bookmark, envie, or tag. I have been wanting to use this pp, and finally found a use for it. I couldn't upload to the gallery at CK today, so I am uploading here. TFL

Baby Shower Thank You's

My sister in law is pregnant and these are thank you cards for her to send out. I will be giving them to her as her part of the game prizes in the post below. A dear friend of mine was generous enough to stamp these adorable House Mouse images for me so I didn't have to buy a stamp. If I have enough time and supplies after making the 30+ invitations for the party, I will make her 6 more for an even dozen. TFL!

Busy, Busy, Busy!!!

I have been very busy lately, and haven't had a moment to get to my blog. I am helping my mother in law with a baby shower for her other daughter in law. We have the date, time, and place. I'm in charge of the dreaded games. I'm keeping it simple...just two of them. I have spent the past few days making the prizes for the winners. The mom to be will be getting a prize along with the winners. She will be getting handmade thank you cards with a baby theme. These are next on the project list. The prizes for the guests are going to include an altered clipboard, 2 matching cards (with stamped envelopes), and and altered writing tablet. I hope they like them, but if not, they can give them away as gifts or something. The "recipe" for the clipboards is simple: Modge Podge, paper, Modge Podge. I am including some pictures of the prizes and will share the thank you cards when they get done. Oh, I almost forgot....I'm making all the invitations to the shower as well. I can't start on those until my order from Stampin' Up comes in. I will share those too. TFL.
