Challenge at ISC 6/28

The challenge this week was set in motion by Madison. She challenged us to make a SUMMER card!!!!! I had alot of fun using Just Beachy and an unknown retired set from SU.

Swap Cards

I also joined a black, white with a splash of color card swap. I used the Branch Out set from SU!! I reallly like the results.........clean and sharp!

Swap Bookmarks

I joined another swap at ISC. It is a bookmark swap. They measure 6x3 and have at least four layers of cardstock. The embellies must be flat so that they don't harm the pages of the book. Here is what I came up with.

Challenge 6/21 at ISC

Well, there is another great challenge over at ISC!!!! The challenge is to make a monochromatic card, ATC, altered item, or scrapbook page. The choice of color is up to you, but no stamping in black or white. I was a bit intimidated at first, but then the ideas started flowing. I decided to go with brown. I bought this HM image at a LSS downstate for $2.50!!!! It was used, but in great shape. I added the "Just a Note" sentiment as I thought it fit with the image. I also used a CB embossing folder because I thought it fit perfectly with the image and sentiment. The image and sentiment are stamped in Chocolate Chip from SU. TFL!!!!

Challenge 6/14 at ISC

Well, here is my challenge card for this week at ISC!!! Anne challenged us to make a card using a background stamp. If we didn't have one, the challenge was to use a stamp and make your own background. Ironically, I was going to make a card using this stamp as a background anyway!!! It's like she read my mind!! Anyway, I had fun....thanks for the challenge Anne!!

Birthday Cards!!

I was in need of some simple Birthday Cards. I wanted to make some that were somewhat "gender neutral" I like to keep these on hand not only for myself, but incase someone wants them to purchase, or I donate to a charity. This is what I came up with. The paper with the animals on them are DCWV paper stacks and make a wonderful card......no fuss no muss!! TFL!!!

Summer???

Well, we are far from summer here where we live, but I decided to make good use of my Just Beachy set from SU. I found some pre-cut cardstock that a good friend had given me eons ago!!! That's basically what I used for this card.......I love it when that happens......just like going shopping in your own house!!! TFL!!

Weekly Challenge 6/ 7 at ISC

Our challenge this week is to make a card with some type of office supply on it. I used a rolodex card, a pretty paperclip, and a shiny, green staple. Granted the paperclips and staples you would find at the office don't look like this, but what can I say??? I used my new stamps from SU and designer paper from SU......the first designer paper I've ever purchased from there.........I'm very happy with it!!! My rep has used this in some of our workshops and I knew I just had to have it. I fear that I overdid it a bit this time, I usually don't make such busy cards. TFL!!!

More Cards FWith My New Stamps!!!!!

Here are two more cards with my new stamp sets!!! I'm really going to love these sets too!!!! I'm sure I'll be in for more "gotta haves" when the new catty comes out!!!!! EEEEKKKK!!!! The "FRIENDS" one has forever stamped on the inside. The "I'm so glad..." one has we're friends on the inside. You can't see on the pics, in random spots on the images I used a sparkle gel pen to add a little something extra. TFL!!!

Branching Out

This is a card for a friend of a friend who is going thru a really tough time right now. She loves lilacs, but I didn't have a lilac stamp so...........I used lilac colored paper!!!! I also used my new set from SU "Branching Out". It is a pretty neat set. This is a gate fold card to the image and the next two layers open up on the right fold. I tied some shimmery ribbon around it to give it some pizzaz!! TFL!!

Third Accordian Card for a Swap

Here is my third and final card for the accordian swap at ISC. I used my new SU set "Priceless". It's a pretty neat set!!! TFL!

Thank You Cards

My friend cleaned me out of thank you cards!!! She said she only needed one, but when I brought in two thank you's and three blank ones.......................she bought all five!!!! Yea me!!!! Anyway, I needed to make more so I had some on hand. Here they are. I used In The Garden set from SU. I'll say it again.......I love this set. I used my SU markers and a blender pen to color the images. I love the way that technique makes things look........soft and warm. TFL!!!

Challenge 5/31 at ISC

This week Patty challenged us to something pretty neat. She wanted us to take something that would normally go into the trash and make it into a craft i.e. card, ATC, altered item etc. I used the top to the Swiffer Wet container!!!! I ran it thru my Cuttlebug!! I used my new embossing folder. I'm pretty happy with the result!! TFL!!

Second Accordian Card

Here is my second accordian card. I have one more to make, but I'm waiting for my SU order to come in. I ordered the Priceless set and thought it would make a great accordian card.
