This Week's Challenge at ISC
Deb is our challenge hostess this week at ISC. She challenged us to make a card with paper as the main focal point. I've had this paper sitting in my stash forever because I just couldn't figure out how to use it. Well, I decided not to over think it and make some cards. Here is the paper and 3 cards I made from it. TFL!

Queen's Challenge for Wednesday
Queen Vicky has challenged us to make a card with green and blue. I decided to make my husbands Birthday card for this challenge. It is another stair step card. I made the "base" with dark green, the trees are green, there is green in the grass below the deer, there is green in the pp on the second step, and there is a green button at the bottom. There is a blue bird, blue in the flowers below the deer, blue ribbon, and a blue button. The paper on the front stair is embossed and it's grey......unfortunately it doesn't show up well. I chose grey because there is grey in the pp on the second step. TFL!!

Stair Step Fold Card
I found a tutorial over at SCS for this card. I decided to give it a try. I had a BLAST!!! I made this extra special Halloween card for my mom. She usually ends up with the "experimental" cards. It didn't really take a whole lot of paper either:) Please go to SCS and take a peek at the tutorial. TFS!!

Weekly Challenge 8/9 at ISC
This week, Cheryl, challenged us to a different kind of challenge. We had to make a card containg 2 of the following elements: something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. She just got done crafting some beautiful wedding invites and I have a feeling that this is where this came from;) Anyway.......here is my card.
Blue: base of card, prima, it's in the ribbon and in the colored image.
Old: these are SU stamps from 2003, and I have had them for a few months.
New: the ribbon (just opened it today), the pink and yellow papers are new too (my latest SU order)
New: the ribbon (just opened it today), the pink and yellow papers are new too (my latest SU order)
I took a pic of the inside to because I just love this stamp!!
Thanks for looking and thanks for the challenge Cheryl!!!

The Queen Commands......
Our current ISC Queen, Jessie, has put forth the command to make a card. She wanted us to make a card for a guy that has paper, embellies, bling that is not traditionally used for masculine cards. I had this paper in my stash....paisley is somewhat masculine, but when it has pink and flowers......it becomes more feminine. I used my CB embossing folder for the light gray paper. The brown is actually SU Soft Suede. The blue is from unknown origin, but is a light sky blue. The ribbon is from Walmart. I had to add bling which is usually not added to any of my masculine cards. The buttons are courtesy of a rummage sale. TFL

Challenge 8/2 at ISC
It is Madison's turn to be hostess and she challenged us to make a card with orange, green and white. I was able to find some papers (getting low on these colors.....I must go shopping!!) and got to work. Well, right after I finished the first one (flowers) my mailman came and delivered my new SU order which contained the Dusty Durango ink pad. Considering it's against the law to let new stuff sit for more than a few minuets, I made one more card. I had the stuff out anyway so why not right??? For the flower one, I recycled!!! I used caps from bottles. They are even orange!!!! TFL!!

2009 Christmas Gifts
My blog only allows 4 pics per post and I am not computer savy so I had to do this in pieces. Here is a pic of all the gifts that will go into Christams Bags for family and some friends (we have some close friends who get our mail while we are gone, have us over for dinner etc.) as an extra special Christmas gift. There are 12 of each item. Cards: Thank You, Birthday, Just a Note, Sympathy, Hang in There, and Get Well. I made dishcloths (crochet) and altered some dominoes into Christmas ornaments. TFL!!!
