Weekly Challenge at ISC

This week we were challenged to make a fall themed card. Wow!! I haven't done a fall card in a long time, so this is terrific!! The twist to this challenge??? It must have a tag on it somewhere. No problemo!!! I added two!!! I made the patterened paper myself and colored the white buttons with alcohol inks!!! Thanks for that tip Anne! TFL!!

Christmas Cards!?!?!?!?

Wait!!! Christmas in July!?!?!? Yep!! Over at ISC, Deb has challenged us to start making Christmas Cards so that it's not such a big rush at the end. Great idea!!! It's amazing how just a couple per week add up. We should all be jumping on this bandwagon.

I have a ton of pretty papers left over from last year and I will try to use them up before I buy more........wish me luck on that one!!!!!

Challenge 7/19 at ISC

This is my week to host our weekly challenge at ISC. I challenged all of my talented cardcrafting friends to make a card that using at least one thing that fell into the category: rarely, barely, or never used. We all have stuff in our stash that fits this. I had such fun making my card that I made another with the same supplies since I already had everything out. Here is my card for the challenge TFL.

Weekly Challenge 7/12 at ISC

This week, Lidia is our challenge hostess. She challenged us to make a card with a "Farm Theme". Chickens, cows, barns, pigs etc. Boy did I panic!!! I don't have anything farm themed. After a bit, I thought of a few things I could use. I have a set of bird stamps. There is a chicken in this set. Years ago, a friend of mine gave me a cutting system from Creative Memories, and it has an egg template. Finally, another friend had purchased a "pack of scraps" of sorts for me a few years ago. I have been slowly using them up. Well, there was a small piece of cow paper in there!!! Well..........I got to work, and this is what I came up with. I even added some stuff to make the nest more three dimentional. TFS!!

Mojo Monday Sketches

I recently asked the question at ISC: I am layout challenged, can someone help me??? Well, help they did. One of the sites suggested has something they call Mojo Monday were they put a sketch out there and you make a card from that. Here are some of my creations.

The first card is stamped with my new stamp set from SU. Loads of Love. Scraps were used on this card, I didn't have to cut into any new pp!!!

The second card is also made from scraps!! I used papers that have been sitting in my stash forever!!! The cute butterfly sticker has also been flying around in my stash for quite some time. The smile stamp is a stamp I have only used about 3 times, and I've had it for years and years! The beautiful pearls are from my great friend Lisa.......isn't she just super???

The third card is made from paper from SU. I love this set of paper.......so pretty!!! I did have to cut into a piece of new paper for this. The stamp is from a set that I have never used.

The fourth.......scraps again!!! I juse SU Just Beachy for this fun summer themed card.

Finally the fifth!!! This card was made from scraps as well. My husband's aunt bought me some buttons from a yard sale and this adorable frog button was in the stash!!! I thought it worked beautifully with this stamp. The stamp is from a set that my BFF Vicky sent me. I tell ya, she is one great gal!!

ISC Weekly Challenge + my 100th post!!!!

Wow!!!! 100 posts already!?!?!?

Here is my card for this week's challenge at ISC. My BFF, Vicky, challenged us to make a Holiday.......our favorite Holiday..........card!!! As a twist, we were challenged to decorate the inside and an envie. I had a blast!!! I got to use a new stamp and paper!!!! Woooo hoooo!!! TFS!
