I've seen several tutorials here and there on making your own flowersoft. When I looked at the craftstore, I couldn't believe how expensive this stuff was!!!! I decided to give it a try.All you have to do is:
Rub 2 white styrofoam craft balls together over a large ziplock bag
Add a few drops of re-inker
Add a few drops of re-inker
"Stir" using a kabob skewer
Let dry
You will then adhere the flowersoft to your image just as you would real flowersoft. It's that easy!!!
I made the above two cards with my homemade flowersoft. I think they look pretty darn good. The butterfly is stamped first with the matching color ink, and I colored the House Mouse before adding the "flowersoft". I did color his fur as well. I felt that this would look better than not s I'm sure you would be able to see some white if I hadn't.
This technique not only saves you money, but allows you to get the exact color you want. Who could ask for more??? TFL!!!

Woo hooooo! Thanks for the tip. Yours turned out quite fabulous so I know it works too. They looks fantastic. The house mouse looks like real fur! You Rock!! so do your cards : )
